Alice Fay Rhodes Davis Bergeron

Alice Bergeron, 72, who was born July 16, 1940, passed from this world Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at her home in Maringouin, La. She was a third generation quilter and seamstress. She was also an avid farmer and the treasurer for the Louisiana Game Cock Association.

A former resident of Pine Island, she is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Leonard Henry Bergeron of Maringouin, La.; three daughters, Bonnie Davis, Tonya (Scott) Player and Margaret (Scott) Darna, all residents of Pine Island; three stepsons, John, Michael and Wade Bergeron; three stepdaughters, Michelle Chitwood, Monique Bergeron and Ginette Roe (Chris); 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty Rhodes Sledge; her brother, Daryl Rhodes; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial celebration of her life was held Sunday, March 3, in St. James City.

She will be missed by all.
