Hawaiian Luau at Legion a big hit

The American Legion Unit 136 in St. James City was transformed into a tropical paradise Saturday evening, Jan. 12, when a Hawaiian Luau (presented by the Auxiliary) was held. It was a sellout event with approximately 120 people dressed in Hawaiian attire attending.

"It was a wonderful evening," said Donna Gauthier, chairperson of the event. "The whole committee worked really hard and a special thanks needs to go to Ann McDonald for her decorating ideas. I really don't know how she did it."

The dinner including the roasted hog was delicious; music was fantastic with a full dance floor most of the night. The highlight of the evening, of course, was the Hula Show with our very own hula dancers from St. James City.
