The Matlacha Bridge Reef Project has matted and framed 100 prints of Mel Meo's design, which became the logo of the organization. Each framed picture will have Meo's signature, along with an old piece of the Matlacha bridge for $100. Individuals who are interested in purchasing one are encouraged to call Tina Bush at 239-244-4434 or stop by Island Floors Inc. & Interiors located at 5261 Pine Island Road, N.W. The Matlacha Bridge Reef Project raised enough funds to fill two barges with 500 tons of the old Matlacha Bridge to the Novac Reef. The organization is arranging a party boat for those who would like to travel to the reef location for the drop off of the debris. Individuals interested can call the Matlacha Bridge Reef Project, at 239-244-4434 to secure passage to the site. A celebration party for the success of the reef project will be held in January.
