Cat of the Week

December 5, 2012
Pine Island Eagle

This handsome 3-year-old boy is a polydactyl kitty. Also known as a "Hemmingway Cat" after the writer's first cat, polydactyl cats have extra toes on their paws. In this case Ernie has extra toes on both his front paws. You can't see them in this picture because Ernie doesn't want people to know he is "different." He likes to play hide and go seek, chase toys and of course eat treats! He is very social and cautiously curious about his surroundings. He is affectionate, but not needy. I can't imagine this beautiful special kitty will be with us long. Call Helping Paws at 239-283-9100 and don't miss your chance to meet Ernie!
