To the editor:
I just wanted to drop you a line and give you an update. As most of you know I was diagnosed with lung cancer this past summer. We came back to Illinois to be with family while getting treatment. Spending time with my children and grandchildren has been a true blessing. This was the first time in years that I have gotten to see the leaves change colors. It was a beautiful fall.
I am undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. I have a couple more weeks of radiation and several more of chemotherapy. I hope to be back down there sometime after Christmas or a little later, depending on when it wraps up, so I can leave.
I want to thank everyone for their cards and gifts, prayers and support, while I have been away. The shop is in good hands and is operating very well. I miss the people and being at the shop everyday. I am hoping things will get back to normal soon.
