An opportunity to purchase chance drawing tickets for a Chevy Spark will be held during the 3rd annual OktoberBreast this weekend to benefit From Our Hearts.
The organization provides assistance for Pine Island residents who are in need of breast cancer screening and treatments through the generosity, in terms of donations, from the community.
Karen Washburn, From Our Hearts president, said they are partnering with Miceli's Restaurant for the fund-raising event this year, which will be held Sunday, Oct. 21, from 12-6 p.m.
Tickets for a chance drawing to win a Chevy Spark are $25 a piece. A total of 1,500 tickets will be sold for the drawing. Opportunities for individuals to purchase tickets will be held throughout the community with the final drawing taking place at BreastFest March 9.
Washburn said the locations of where the tickets will be sold will be placed on their website at www.fromourheart.org. She said the winner does not have to be present at the time to win.
The annual OktoberBreast began, Washburn said, because they really wanted to make sure they were having an event in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

"It is a fun way for the community to come together to support our organization and our mission," she said of the annual event.
Three bands are donating their time during the OktoberBreast event - Burnt Out, High Tide and Strange Arrangement, which Washburn said is another example of the community giving back.
"I think the musicians are incredible," she said.
Strange Arrangement is going to perform an original song about From Our Hearts during the event.
"I am very excited to hear the song," Washburn said.
OktoberBreast will also include a 50/50 raffle, retail booth for pink ribbon items, as well as T-shirts and jewelry for sale.
The Miceli's menu will be available for those who wish to order something. The restaurant will also have a drink special during the event.
