Sweet Tea is barely 2 years old and has had a sad beginning. She was an abused cat and is slowly learning about love. Her owner wanted to get rid of her, so she asked the vet to put her down. She is a beautiful, healthy girl that loves to play and spend time outside. Sweet Tea loves any kind of affection, and it isn't hard to guess why. We suspect she was taken from her mother too early because she doesn't know how to make happy kitty noises, which are usually learned from a nurturing mother. Instead of purrs or mews, she expresses herself by growling. She does it when she's happy, when she's playing or even when she is rubbing up against you.
Sweet Tea deserves a second chance in a loving home. She isn't happy here at the shelter, because she is afraid of the other cats. If you would like to help poor Sweet Tea learn about love, please give us a call at 239-283-9100.
