Red's Fresh Seafood House & Tavern has unveiled 37 new additions to its menu. Located at 10880 Stringfellow Road on Pine Island, just minutes from Cape Coral, Red's has won numerous awards for its delicious seafood offerings.
"We have been busy during the off season revamping and expanding our menu items," said Red's owner Bud LoCicero. "Our patron's favorites including our Steamed Trifecta, prime rib, stuffed Tilapia and our specialty Red's Steamer are still on the menu, but we are really excited about our new offerings and have already received rave reviews from customers."
New seafood offerings include Boom Boom Shrimp, Crab Meatballs, Mussels and Clams Provencal, Clams and Mussels Diablo, Scallops Nantucket, Fried Tilapia, Shrimp and Lobster Tail, Salmon a'la Vodka, Mediterranean Salmon, Snapper and Grouper, Parmesan Crusted Grouper and Triple Tail, Crab Crowned Grouper and Triple Tail, Wasabi Pea Crusted Tuna, Bronzed Scallops and Asian BBQ Shrimp and Triple Tail.
While seafood is Red's main feature, the menu also offers ribs, steak, chicken, salads, sandwiches, hamburgers, burritos and more. New non-seafood items include Asian BBQ Ribs, Boom Boom Chicken Tenders, Chicken Carbonara, Blackened Chicken Alfredo, San Antonio Chicken, Blue Cheese Encrusted Filet and Rib Eye, BBQ Pork Chops, Black and Blue Pork, Pork Chops Forestiere and a Western Burger.
The house specialty Red's Steamer is a mixture of shrimp, clams, oysters, mussels, Alaskan snow crab and Cajun sausage steamed with sweet onion, white wine, garlic and scampi butter, poured at your table out of steaming beer pitchers.
"Our one of a kind process jets steam into pitchers brimming with a combination of fresh herbs, butter and shellfish," said LoCicero. "This unique method infuses the taste of seafood and aromatics creating a perfect fresh as possible eating experience."
During the summer, the restaurant offered a $10 coupon, which will end on Sept. 30, 2012. Its $10 Early Bird menu will still be available from 4 to 5:30 p.m. daily and features the same items including prime rib, pork chops, chicken Parmesan, shrimp, mussels and salmon selections. Red's also features a daily "5 at $5" appetizer menu Monday through Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at its bar that includes oysters, flat bread, nachos, mussels and Boom Boom Shrimp. Five-dollar drinks are also available at the same time and include frozen wave runners, margaritas, tipsy tea, pink flamingos and island cake cocktails. Twenty-five cent oysters and $2 select drafts are also available during this same time.
Red's also continues its Friday night New England clam bake featuring lobster, belly clams, mussels, haddock, sole and more and offers their stuffed shrimp as a special during the week.
"Although we condensed the menu before adding new selections, we still have an extensive list of dishes," said LoCicero. "We like being able to offer tastes for every customers' palate even if they're not in the mood for seafood."
Red's is open for dinner seven days a week: Sunday through Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m. An extensive wine menu and full bar are also available. Reservations are not accepted.
