Two anonymous donors contributed funds to Creative Coast Preschool last week to help keep the doors open for the youngsters to take voluntary pre-kindergarten classes on the island, along with using childcare services in the future.
Tina Riehm, owner of Creative Coast Preschool, said the money donated to the school was put towards the rent.
The school is still in need of additional funds to pay the remaining amount of rent.
A fund-raiser barbeque will be held this Saturday at the center to keep the doors open for Pine Island families. In addition to food, there will also be a large bounce house on the property, which was donated by a member of the community for the youngsters to enjoy.
The center will also be open for the youngsters during the fund-raiser, so they can play on the indoor loft, along with the ability to use the bathroom facilities.
Riehm is asking those who attend the fund-raiser to donate what they can. All the donations received will go towards rent.

Winn-Dixie donated funds to help purchase food for the barbeque Saturday.
"If it's a success, I will do fund-raisers throughout the year," Riehm said.
She encourages parents who use her services to come into the center this week and make their accounts current.
"Every penny counts, every donation counts, especially since school will be starting soon," Riehm said.
