Catherine (Baker) Nordstrom Sandberg, 98, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Hope Hospice House at Health Park, Fort Myers. She was born Oct. 20, 1913, in Middletown, Conn., and was a 1934 graduate of Connecticut College. She was in the teaching profession all her life, most recently as a mathematics teacher at the Canterbury School and then at Cypress Lake High School, both in Fort Myers. She moved to Cape Coral from the Norwalk/Westport area of Connecticut in 1970.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Morris D. Nordstrom, DDS, in 1960, and by her second husband, Bernhardt Sandberg, in 1989.
She is survived by two children, her daughter Ann N. (Duane A.) Sepper of Ocala and her son John D. (Louise J.) Nordstrom of Webster, Mass. She had four grandchildren, Scott D. Sepper, Dana Lyn Knapp, Christopher J. Nordstrom and Andrew C. Nordstrom; as well as five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Faith Presbyterian Church in Cape Coral at the convenience of the family at a later date to be announced.
Interment will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Norwalk, Conn.
