To the editor:
According to what I read in the Pine Island Eagle, the "public information director" expects those who live, vote and/or own property on Pine Island to believe that the city of Cape Coral spent $13 million on land that they had no idea about how they could use it. With all due respect, who do they think we are? I've heard about annexation for years now and remember Cape Coral when you couldn't park a pickup truck in you own driveway.
I will not be signing any petitions that could jeopardize the current status of Pine Island and Matlacha. Hopefully, we can educate the voters out here so that they don't just sign something because it "sounds good."
