William “Bill” Baker

William "Bill" Baker, 78, of Winter Haven, Fla., died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at the Tampa General Hospital, Tampa.

He was born Dec. 16, 1933, in Salem, Ohio. After graduating high school, he joined the Air Force. He went to barber school after his enlistment and was a barber in Salem, Ohio, until 1978. He continued cutting hair after relocating to St James City. He also worked for Lee County Mosquito Control for 10 years prior to retiring to the Winter Haven area.

He was an avid tennis player and an active member of Fisher's of Men Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita; son, Bill (Lisa) of Winter Haven; daughter, Bonnie of Winter Haven; a sister, Gerry Spack of Salem, Ohio; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
