To the editor:
To the part-time resident who complained about the cats at Winn-Dixie, shame on you for being so narrow minded and hard hearted! There are much bigger issues at stake in this world and I can hardly imagine that three cats who have beat the odds and are finally treated humanely can be of such a concern to you. We are also part-time residents and love Pine Island because of it's diversity, whimsy and most of all caring, whether it be humans or animals. Maybe you would be happier living somewhere else.
