To the editor:
Harborside Gallery held a party April 14 for its over 50 consignors at the gallery. Champagne flowed, appetizers were a-plenty as many participants brought treats. The artists/crafter/authors and designers got to meet their counterparts that have displayed their wares both last year and this year. The Loibls thanked everyone for their participation and that the gallery wouldn't have been as successful if it wasn't for their talent.
After the fire at the post office building in 2010, the Loibls decided to utilize the space themselves during the transition of refurbishing/remodeling and through the bridge construction. The Loibls, due to personal reasons, have decided to retire as of April 30. They will revamp the building with new tenants and new art designs on the structure. During the party, they introduced the new tenants for Unit C - Nadine and Tammey, opening in May, Spa 33, an Island Sisters Retreat. Massage Therapy, manicures/pedicures for Men and Woman. Nadine from St. James and Tammey from Matlacha talked about the exciting new venture. They announced that Pine Island Dance will be utilizing the entire gallery unit starting this summer. Watch for the many changes.
We can't thank everyone enough for the joy they have brought us the last two seasons. We will miss the comradeship we all had. Lynn has been a friend/artist/crafter for the past 10 years and we don't know what we would have done without her help filling in days when Donna couldn't be there. We want to wish everyone involved with the gallery all the best of luck in their future endeavors. We are excited about the new business ventures coming to Matlacha through our building.
