Carl E. Latta, 97, of Cape Coral passed away Friday, April 13, 2012. He was born on Oct. 14, 1914, in Fairmont, W.Va., to James and Cora Bennett Latta. Mr. Latta moved to Cape Coral in 1986 coming from Huntington, W.Va. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cape Coral for 23 years and was a member of Huntington Masonic Lodge No. 53, the Huntington Shrine Club and the Beni Kedem Temple, Charleston, W.Va.
He is survived by his loving family including his daughter, Carla Antonio and her husband, Col. Melvin Antonio, USAF, retired; grandchildren, Edward Ray Bolt, William Troy Bolt, David Sean Antonio; great-grandchildren, Corey Bolt, Kyle Bolt, Brittany Bolt, Paul Bolt, Tyler Bolt; brothers, Paul Latta and Ralph Latta.
Mr. Latta was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Virginia Latta, May 7, 2009, and his granddaughter, Anita Eileen Antonio.

A funeral was held Monday, April 16, at noon, at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 S.W. Pine Island Road, Cape Coral. Entombment with a Masonic service followed at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
