To the editor:
Once again it is time for the Pine Island Food Pantry to thank the generous merchants, year-round residents, and snowbirds of Pine Island. These always kind people have made our annual fund-raiser, on March 17, a resounding success. The strong support of Dan Loughren, the manager of Winn-Dixie, was, as usual, a major factor in this success. As always, the proceeds will be used to help our neighbors, because "no one should go hungry."
