To the Editor:
This past month, the "Occupy Sacramento" group damaged businesses, city hall, historic sites and burned the American flag - the flag that will some day drape your coffin if you are an American veteran. The flag that draped the coffins of those veterans who have passed away. The flag of those veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice for this great country of ours so that we all may remain free.
They could be prosecuted for all of their crimes. They could not be prosecuted for burning the United States flag because the "Flag Amendment" failed the Senate last year by one vote! How dare our representatives to refuse to defend the most precious symbol of this great country of ours! Burning the American flag is not illegal! They call it freedom of speech!
Write or e-mail your representative. Write or e-mail your congressman. If you do not know who they are, look it up! Tell them to pass the "Flag Amendment" or step aside and let someone take over their position who will defend the American flag!
