To the editor:
I stopped by the Beacon of H.O.P.E. on Wednesday morning and a couple from Ontario, Canada, who were in a red van, came in. A woman got free bread and the husband got free bread. The woman paid 50 cents for whatever, walked out and gave her husband $1 for four books. The old man walked in front of customers checking out to try to hand $1 to the clerk for four books. The clerk said, "You need to wait your turn sir." The man still insisted on paying the $1. A customer with his wife checking out paid the tax that the wealthy man refused to pay. Then the couple from Ontario left and went straight to Winn-Dixie and complained about the free bread and got money back from bread, that in my opinion, they took from the needy in the first place.
Think about it. We are in trouble in this country because of greed. Do we really want greed from another? Shame on you two.
