The kitchen at Froggy's opened again for residents two weeks ago after they stopped serving food more than five years ago.

Romana Gavrinev, owner of Froggy's, said she opened her business in 1999 and decided to stop serving food in 2004. She said she wanted to serve food again because she likes to cook.

Froggy's kitchen will be open from 4-9 p.m. every day. Gavrinev said no one will be allowed to smoke inside while food is being served.

"They can smoke on the front porch," she said during serving hours. "After 9 p.m. they can smoke inside after the kitchen closes."

After the first of they year, she said she plans on opening the kitchen for lunch as well.

The menu will include daily specials, along with some favorites as hamburgers, frog legs, chicken wings, fried cheese, chicken tenders and pizza.

There is also music every Friday from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Froggy's for residents to enjoy.

Froggy's is located at 3620 Stringfellow Road.
