The weather was great, the hotdogs were cooked to perfection and the suds were flying at the Grand Opening of the Blue Crab Car Wash Saturday, Oct. 22, at 9826 Stringfellow Road.
The Blue Crab Car Wash has been reopened by Liz and John Ruehl. The new owners completely renovated the facility after they purchased it. The Blue Crab renovation restored the original charm of the wash with repairs to the neon lights, new paint, fresh graphics and continuous island music playing to top off the experience. In addition, the Blue Crab car wash bays now accept credit cards, bills, quarters as well as tokens. Each bay is also equipped with a marine flush for outboards and lower units. The electronic upgrades have introduced a LOTTO feature that notifies random winning customers of free washes. So don't be surprised if you swipe your card or insert bills into one of the machines in the car wash bays and you receive a free wash! Also note, the vacuums have enough power to suck the hair off of a cat's back. The Blue Crab has restocked the vending products with new items that will facilitate keeping your car, boat and motor home in mint condition.
Liz and John would like to send a big thanks for all the local support received as well as the patrons that have already helped to make the Blue Crab Car Wash a huge success. See you at the Blue Crab Car Wash where you can "make your shell sparkle"!
