Pine Island Eagle

Beginning Sunday evening, Aug. 14, at 5:30 p.m., the Matlacha Bridge will be reduced to one lane of traffic through the overnight hours until 6 a.m. Monday morning. Motorists should expect delays.

The bridge will be reduced to one lane in order to stage equipment to pour concrete for a bridge pier footing. Flagmen will be on site to direct traffic.

Drivers are urged to drive with care and be aware of workers and equipment on the roadway.
